The Process of Planning

This week I started planning my major project. I am thinking about making a time lapse video of the city at night. I am planning on taking the shots/videos (still deciding) in various locations and showing them one after another. To make this video different to every other time lapse out there I am planning on mirroring the scenes to make an abstract and kaleidoscopic view. I also hope to overlay the scenes with music, I will figure out what genre at a later time. The one problem I have at the moment (which I have to figure out) is the angles I wish to shoot at and, if I wish to take some of the shots from high angles, how will I get to these locations?

There is one artist in particular whom is inspiring me at the moment, Michael Shainblum; and his video 'Mirror City Timelapse' (Below) is very similar to how I wish for my final piece to turn out. I love his use of sound and composition of the shots as well as the general idea.
