This week I had a go practising video time lapses. As I was shooting it seemed like everything was going well, however once I got into post processing it didn't turn out so well. The video (below) was quite grainy despite being set at ISO 200 and it was quite laggy at some parts. Despite this I still had a go speeding it up in order to see what speed would be most effective in order to get the desired effect.

Once realising that the video trial didn't work I have now decided to take images instead, despite taking up more time and space, I feel like it would be a better process to get sharper and more vibrant images and it will also allow me to have many stills which I can use individually if I wish down the track.

I have also just ordered a shutter device for my camera which will enable me to take more effective and efficient time lapse shots and will hopefully make the process it little easier.

I am hoping this week to do more test shots and to start working out what lens I need for each location to get the best clarity and depth in my shots. I also want to start planning my locations and speaking to buildings (more specifically hotels) to see if I can use their rooftop as a view point.
