And so the editing begins...

This week I finally shot my first scene, the process went really smoothly with the new device I bought, however I am still working the kinks of it and I only managed to take 40 shots before i pressed something and turned it off...
I also started editing those photographs and figuring out how I wanted them to look in terms of the mirroring and kaleidoscopic aspect. I had a play around with the effects on After Effects and have found the way I think I want the scenes to look like however whenever I import the images it seems to compress them to a very short time frame and speeds them up. I tried to figure out how to fix this but nothing seems to be working so i'm going to edit things slightly different now; i'll edit all the stills on Photoshop/ Camera Raw, then i'll import them to i Movie so I can work out the speed of the entire shot and then i'll put the whole video into After Effects and create the mirroring effect.
I have also inserted a quick video below of myself editing today to have an inside look at what I have been doing and what my struggles were.
The theme of my video has also changed slightly; instead of just creating a video of time lapses in various locations I am going to focus on well known areas in both Melbourne and Geelong (such as Flinders Street, the Melbourne Star, The Carousel etc) and distort them (using mirrors and Kaleidoscope effects) so they are almost unrecognisable.
So that's all I have been up to this week, hopefully next week I will be back with more successful images that I can edit.
